Science Class Week 4
In class this week we expanded even more on our light topic. We designed experiments to see if light could go through water and come out the other side normally. But when we tested this experiment we saw that the light ended up in a different spot then what it should have been. So we looked at the two different theories of light, one being the wave theory and one being the ball theory. We saw that the wave theory seemed to work better for our water experiment. Then we figured out that when light travels through air the wave are farther apart because the are traveling faster and then when they hit the water they get closer together because they are not going as fast. This change of speed makes the light bend because one side of the wave is going fast and the other is going slow. That is the main topic on what we did this week in science class.
