In Science this week we once again worked with the light topic. Our main focus was on reflectiveness. One of our experiments was to see if different objects had different levels of reflectiveness. We found that different object did have different levels according to their shininess or color. Another experiment that we did was point a laser a different objects and rating them based on size, brightness, and reflectiveness. Our results showed us that different surfaces have different qualities. And our last experiment had to do with lasers an mirrors. We saw that the mirror had a very high reflectiveness. So we used that to do tests. We first saw if i the laser ever died out at one point after hitting several mirrors but it just kept on going and going and going.
Our second test was on what angle the laser came off the mirror and we tested that by using a protractor. We shined the laser through the protractor ont0 the mirror and measured the angle it came back up at. For the most part they came up relatively at the same angle that it came down at so we know that they are congruent. This can apply to the real world like when you throw a ball to the ground it comes up at relatively the same angle at which you threw it. That sums up what we did in science class in week 3.
